Matt Clark is organist of St Michael’s and coordinates communications for the choir. Sung services at St Michael’s are regularly conducted by Richard Stephens. In addition, the music provision at St Michael’s is augmented by Nigel Browne, Anthony Musson & Neil Page.
St Michael’s Choir currently has a vacancy for a Director of Music.
Music Associates:
St Michael’s also warmly welcomes guest conductors and organists for special services and events, as this enhances the continuing professional development of the choir and enriches the experience of music in the liturgy for the congregation. In the past year, these have included the University of Exeter Chapel Choir with their organ scholars. In the past year, Exeter Cathedral Lay Clerks and Choral Scholars have also crossed the Iron Bridge to make music at St Michael’s as vocal soloists and conductors; Michael Graham, Matthew Jeffrey and Joe Ward, together with Exeter Cathedral’s Director of Music, Timothy Noon.
