Wednesday 7th August at 7pm, we welcome Jean-René André, Director of Music at Rennes Cathedral, to give a Recital of popular European Organ pieces from across the centuries. The city of Rennes , Brittany in France, has been twinned with Exeter since the 1950s.

No Evensong on Sun 4 Aug, and no Vespers on Tuesdays & Thursdays in August.

11am Sung Masses in Sundays 4, 11, 18, 25 August will feature Congregational Mass Settings and simple Choir Motets on an ad hoc basis depending on resources on the day.

In early April, our Peregrine Falcon pair laid 3 eggs – we hope for chicks to hatch around 8-11 May.

We are glad that the “Exeter Pride” Service will continue this year at the more central venue of St Petrock’s Church on the High Street, at 10.45am on Saturday 11th May – do support this if you can.

We are grateful to Stephanie Aplin for taking up the mantle of Chapel Warden, and to Fr Dominic Cyrus, Vice-Principal of South West Ministry Training Course, who will be helping our Clergy team with Services.

During Lent we are encouraged to spend more time in prayer and in study to deepen & broaden our faith. At St Michael’s we can use one or more Wednesdays (13,20,27 Mar & 3,10 Apr) for this. Stations of the Cross at 6pm is a prayerful 45min meditation on Jesus’ Passion. The Lent Reading Group at 7pm for an hour or so will explore the writings of Cyprian, 3rd century Bishop and Martyr in Carthage.
