				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Breaking News! The 3 peregrine eggs laid during Holy Week are hatching &#8211; 2 chicks so far, on 4th &#038; 5th May. </p>
<p>Thanks to all who journeyed with us through Holy Week &#038; Easter, especially to Fr Christopher for such purposeful Liturgy &#038; Sermons, to Fr Nigel for Spy Wednesday&#8217;s Stations of the Cross (one of my highlights with our Liszt Via Crucis) and to Amy Down for organising &#038; conducting our dedicated choir in 7 varied &#038; beautiful choral services that week.</p>
<p>May offers a whole host of Feasts, Processions &#038; special events – please support what you can. We welcome back Nigel Browne as Organist and Neil Page as honorary Director of Music.</p>
<p>Regular weekday services continue with Tuesday &#038; Thursday Vespers at 6pm, and Wednesday Matins &#038; Low Mass at 9.30/10am.</p>
<p>Ascension Day, Thursday 10th May, begins a time of evangelistic prayer “#ThyKingdom_Come” called for by our Archbishops. In Devon this culminates in a Diocesan event at Exeter Cathedral starting at 6.30pm on Pentecost Sunday, 20th May.</p>

<p>Our nest box camera is online on the Peregrine page, and we hope that the 4 eggs laid in the last week of March will hatch during the first few days of May. Donations always welcome. </p>

<p>At <strong>St David’s Church on Thursday 21 April at 7.30pm</strong>  – The Revd Harri Williams from St David’s Cathedral, Pembrokeshire, on St David, his Ministry and Influence. One of a series of Heritage Lectures about the Church and its churchyard as part of the St David’s Transformation Project, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund. </p>
<p><strong>Saturday 23 April at 9.30am</strong>, there is a joint St David&#8217;s/St Mike&#8217;s Men&#8217;s Breakfast at the Farmers&#8217; Union  by the Clock-tower at the north end of Queen Street. </p>
<p><strong>Saturday 23 April</strong>, St George&#8217;s Day and Jewish Passover. <strong>7.30pm at Exeter Cathedral</strong> a rare opportunity to hear Benjamin Britten&#8217;s War Requiem, performed by EMG Symphony Orchestra and Choirs. Written for the Consecration of the new Coventry Cathedral in May 1962, it is a sign of reconciliation and hope in a damaged world. </p>
<p><strong>Sunday 24 April, Easter 5/IV</strong>, 10.45am. Mass in the Phrygian Mode by Charles Wood and the splendid multi-verse Anthem “Ye Choirs of new Jerusalem” by C V Stanford.<br />
