As you will be aware, all public worship & events are currently suspended in response to the Covid-19 pandemic and the church building must remain closed.

Sunday 19th April is “Low Sunday” – we would have had Fr Dominic Cyrus as Celebrant & Preacher at St Michael’s, one year after he first celebrated Mass here.Instead, Fr Nigel is sayibg Morning Prayer with Address from the Vicarage at 9.30am on “St David’s Church Exeter” Facebook a/c – the text of this short Service is linked here, and may be viewed live or later.

Pewsheet with Music links & Notices will be available from “Bar” below, and Readings are linked here.

In 2019, Hymns: 114: 296: 113. Mass in F, Wood. This joyful Eastertide, also by Charles Wood.

In 2018, Music was Hymns 117 : 120 : 112.  Setting: Missa Aeterna Christi Munera Palestrina.  Motet: Sicut cervus Palestrina, with Peter King as visiting Organist.

!n 2017, Low Sunday was rather more exciting with the beautiful Mass in F by Charles Wood, the lively Easter Anthem by 18th century American composer William Billings, and Bishop Martin Shaw as Celebrant – also St George’s Day Cream Teas and Brass Music was fun.

Music in 2016 was Darke in E Mass Setting and also Easter Anthem by Billings.

Report & Pictures (click on the links) – The 2015 Easter Bonnet Competition was a great success with a dozen or so entries showing skill and imagination, and even a virtual smartphone entry as David’s papier mache and paint had not dried. From Resurrection to Remembrance, wHat a variety!

Fr David Walford judged with due seriousness, and the prize for the prettiest bonnet went to Paula’s floral creation,

while that for the silliest, and indeed the most theological, went to Richard Parker for his architectural portrayal of Christ our Saviour rescuing Adam & Eve naked from the jaws of Hades.

St Michael’s Social Committee livened up Low Sunday 2015, 12th April, with a Fund-raising Easter Bonnet (or other silly hat) Competition after Mass. Music was Mass Setting White in E flat; Anthem, O Lord increase our faith, Loosemore.
