Easter Sunday, 12th April at 11am, Festal Sung Mass and Blessing of the Easter Garden.  

Despite everything – Christ is Risen; He is Risen indeed! All at St Michael’s wish you a Blessed Easter.

Christ is Risen; He is risen indeed! Alleluia! A “Day of Obligation” – a day of great joy.

In 2018 we sang – This Joyful Eastertide. Mass in D by W A Mozart. Hallelujah! from Handel’s Messiah.  Organist is Gabrielle Lewis.

Music for 2017 was Introit: This Joyful Eastertide. Setting: Spatzenmesse (Sparrow Mass) by W A Mozart. Anthem: Hallelujah! from Handel’s Messiah.

Music in 2016 was Introit: Sing out this Eastertide by Graham Keitch; Setting: Mass in G by Franz Schubert, with sung Gloria; Anthem: Haec Dies (SSATTB) by William Byrd.

Sing out this Easter Day. Sing Alleluia!  The Lord is risen for us. Sing Alleluia! No more the shameful cross and suffering; no more need we be lost or without hope. Christ is Risen!  With joy this Easter Day sing Alleluia!  ALLELUIA!

Music in 2015 was Introit: Surrexit Christus Dominus, Michael Praetorius (1571-1621) who died on his 50th birthday and is buried in Wolfenbüttel.  Setting: Kleine Orgelmesse, Franz Joseph Haydn (1732-1809) the prolific Austrian Classical composer.  Easter Anthem, William Billings (1746-1800) of Boston, Massachusetts, who is widely regarded as the first American choral composer.
